rbit See it work

Find the people on your LinkedIn who can help.

Tell Orbit what you need, like a job, a client or someone to hire. It reads through everyone you are connected to and shows you who to talk to first, with the reason for each person.

Looking for work

Ask who you know at a company before you apply, and who says they are hiring.

Finding clients or hires

Describe who you need and Orbit picks the closest matches from people you already know.

Setting up

Add Orbit to Chrome and open LinkedIn. Press Continue, pick the AI you use, and your connections come in.

What Orbit reads

  • Names
  • Headlines
  • Photos
  • Connection dates
  • Recommendations written for you

Orbit has no server, so what it reads is kept in your browser. A question you ask goes to your AI along with those details, but never the photos. On LinkedIn, Orbit only reads. It does not post, message or connect. The rest is on the privacy page.

Why I made it

For the last couple of months I have been getting back into LinkedIn and reconnecting with old friends, colleagues and clients. What got me was how connected everyone is. Everything I have done came through a referral or someone who knew me, and I never even had a website.

I wanted to see that. Not a flat chart full of straight lines, a live map of everyone I am connected to on LinkedIn, where you tap anyone and see how they connect to the rest.

The next part is asking it things. Where is my next gig most likely to come from. Who is looking for work that I could help. The point is helping people find their next thing.
